The Journal of International Relations Researches publishes original research articles in the following areas:
Theories and approaches in international relations and global politics
Foreign policy and comparative diplomacy
International political economy and development issues
International security, regional conflicts, and peacebuilding
International organizations and global governance regimes
International law and global policy
Regional issues in the Middle East, Eurasia, and other geopolitical areas
Interdisciplinary topics related to international relations (cultural, environmental, and technological studies)
Articles that go beyond descriptive analysis and include theoretical, methodological, or analytical innovations are prioritized.
Manuscripts can only be submitted by university faculty members or PhD students.
Master's students may submit articles only in collaboration with a faculty member or a PhD student.
Authors are responsible for the academic, literary, and ethical accuracy of their submissions.
All authors must give consent for their inclusion. Changes in the order or number of authors after submission require written approval from all authors.
The corresponding author must be clearly indicated at the beginning of the manuscript and provide a valid email address.
Articles may be written individually or collaboratively, with a maximum of four authors per manuscript.
Adherence to research ethics and avoidance of plagiarism is mandatory. The journal uses similarity-detection software to ensure originality.
Title (Persian and English): Short, clear, without abbreviations or uncommon terms (maximum 10 words).
Abstract (Persian and English): 180–250 words, past tense verbs, including purpose, methodology, and findings.
Keywords: 3–5 terms reflecting the novelty and innovation of the research.
Introduction: Clearly state the research problem, significance, questions, hypotheses, and objectives; should not contain references.

Manuscripts should have a clear and coherent methodological framework, with the research type (theoretical, descriptive, analytical, empirical, mixed, etc.) explicitly stated.
Research objectives, questions, and hypotheses must be clearly defined and linked to the theoretical foundation.
Data collection methods (documentary, fieldwork, survey, interview, content analysis, etc.) must be fully explained.
For quantitative research, specify the population, sample size, sampling method, and statistical analysis techniques.
For qualitative research, justify the method selection, coding procedures, validation of findings, and generalizability.
When using software or analytical tools, their name and application must be clearly indicated.
Research limitations should be reported to allow accurate evaluation of results.
Ethical standards, including academic integrity, proper citation, avoidance of plagiarism, and transparency in presenting data, are mandatory.
In-text citations and reference lists must follow the APA 7th edition format.
Non-English sources should be translated into English, with the original language noted at the end, e.g., (In Persian).
Terms like “ibid” or repeated references are not permitted; each reference must be fully cited.
References should be alphabetized by the author’s last name and provide complete bibliographic information.
At least 30–40% of references must be from articles published in journals indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
All manuscripts undergo a similarity check upon submission.
Eligible manuscripts are sent for double-blind peer review.
Final acceptance or rejection is based on reviewers’ evaluations and the editorial board’s decision.
Manuscripts must be written in clear and academic Persian.
Total word count (including text, tables, figures, and references) should be between 6,000 and 8,000 words.
Tables, figures, and illustrations must have numbers, titles, and sources.
