English

Despite the prominent and important position of both countries in the Islamic world and the Middle East, political and ideological differences, especially in the areas of identity and influence in the countries of the region, have caused deep disharmony.using constructivist theory, this research examines the role of non-material factors, such as identity, ideas, and attitudes, in the formation and perpetuation of these difference , and it raises the question of what are the roots of the incompatibility between these two countries, and what factors played a role in its formation? And what factors played a role in its formation?
Based on the research question, it is hypothesized that identity conflicts and ideological conflicts between the two countries have had a significant impact on the emergence and continuation of the dispute.
The research findings show that the identity factor and the elements built from it, including beliefs, attitudes, political interactions, etc., have had a great impact on relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
In this study, the research method was descriptive-analytical and its data were collected through library studies.
